I’m Valerie, a Sacramento-based portrait photographer working with individuals, families, pets, and people in all kinds of romantic and relational connections. I create portraits that reflect the you, and the people and relationships in your life - not what anyone else expects. My sessions are relaxed and supportive, giving everyone - humans and animals alike - a chance to settle in naturally while I guide the process. Portraits are more than pictures - they capture the gestures, expressions, and interactions that make your life yours. I focus on the details that reveal personality and connection, whether that’s within yourself, among family members, romantic or relational partners, or pets who are part of your household. I aim to create images that feel personal and real, without forcing anyone into a pose or formula. Each session is tailored to your story and style. I handle the logistics - from location and timing to posing guidance - so you can focus on being present. Afterward, I carefully edit each image to reflect the warmth, energy, and individuality of everyone involved, creating portraits you’ll want to display, share, and return to for years to come.
