Counseling / Therapy, Mental Health
The Mental Hug is a queer-owned therapy practice rooted in the belief that healing happens best when people feel seen, safe, and not alone. I work primarily with adults navigating grief, trauma, life transitions, and identity-related stressors, especially within LGBTQIA+ communities. My approach to therapy is relational, affirming, and collaborative. I’m less interested in “fixing” people and more focused on helping clients reconnect with themselves and move through hard experiences with compassion and support. Beyond individual therapy, The Mental Hug is also about community care. I host non-therapy gatherings focused on connection and self-kindness, create mental health related merch, and offer consultation and support to other helping professionals. The heart of the work is simple: reminding people that they don’t have to carry everything on their own.
