I work with queer (and non-queer) ambitious and high performing professionals who are exhausted but constantly wired; who can’t shut their brains off; sleep but don’t feel rested; and are starting to feel consistent pain and tension in their bodies. I help them stop performing stress so they can recover energy, reduce pain, and make their success sustainable. I've worked in high-pressure situations since I was 15 years old, as a wilderness skills teacher, corrective-exercise-focused personal trainer, and somatic movement therapist and educator, teaching people how to stay calm and focus on what's actually going to get them where they want to be, beginning with pain-free, focused under pressure, or building the habits that keep them healthy, successful, and enjoying life. Most people leave the body out of their therapy and their mindset calculations, and that's the gap my work fills. I go beyond "eat clean and work out" to help you address the root causes of why your good intentions fail and your highest ideals keep getting pushed aside. (Spoiler alert-- it's everything from the neck down.) I will help you tune in to your body's signals using years of anatomy teaching experience and biomechanics training, and respond to them before you hit the wall full speed. The people who succeed best with me are active, ambitious professionals in their 30s-40s with complex pain patterns that conventional approaches haven't solved, who want to understand what's actually happening in their bodies and get the support and tools to manage things themselves-- fast.
