Every BODY belongs in nature! We've seen firsthand how powerful nature can be in helping people grow, heal, connect, and find belonging. But, as a queer and trans people, we have experienced, and continue to face challenges regarding safety, acceptance, and support in these spaces. These barriers often result in underrepresentation, discrimination, limited access to opportunities, and overall negative experiences. By creating spaces where queer individuals can genuinely connect with nature and to others, we contribute to so much more than the sense of belonging; we are improving mental health, lowering suicide risk, building community and fostering resiliency among our most vulnerable populations. CORE OFFERINGS: - Host and Co-Host beginner friendly nature based outdoor programs for queer and marginalized identities. - Offer FREE Gear Swaps & Introduction to the Outdoors Workshops - Launching an Outdoor Gear Library to reduce financial barriers to access - Actively fundraising and planning to launch an inclusive, accessible, and sustainable campground near Nevada City in Nevada County, California and the native tribal lands of Cayuse, Umatilla And Walla Walla.
