Coaching, Training & Development

In PersonOnline

New Coyote Consulting works with organizations that are values-led and impact-driven. We offer management training, executive coaching, and communications strategy to direct service or other community-centered orgs that are truly committed to making an impact, particularly those with Black, Indigenous, queer, trans, and other marginalized leaders. Our mission is to radically transform the economic landscape of the Pacific Northwest so that no one is denied their opportunity to thrive due to a lack of resources. We work collaboratively and with the belief that marginalized people know what they need. Our liberation practice starts internally, so we can be our best selves and offer our clients our best work. New Coyote is a certified Benefit Corporation for Good, and COBID-certified as a Minority-Owned Business Enterprise (MBE), Emerging Small Business (ESB) and Woman*-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE). (The asterisk is because NCC CEO, owner, and founder Marina Martinez-Bateman is nonbinary. Unfortunately, the state of Oregon currently does not currently offer certification for other gender minorities.) I'm Marina. New Coyote is my brain child, born of many years’ experience applying anti-fascist, human-centered systems to communications strategy. I built it to be a new kind of company, a place that puts people over performative capitalist expectations that only waste time, lead to burnout, and don’t support financial or ethical priorities for a middle-class company like mine. We focus on work that gets results rather than just checking boxes, because our guiding star is impact. I’m a serial entrepreneur, grassroots communicator, and skilled facilitator with more than 25 years’ experience motivating people to take action on behalf of political, cultural, and commercial interests. I take my commitment to the people I communicate with very seriously. My ongoing anti-racism and workers’ rights practice has made me a popular speaker, trainer, and mentor in the industry...
