Reading is my tremendous passion, and I can say without hesitation that I want to help bring more good things to read into the world. As a professional editor and proofreader, I have a keen instinct for effective writing. My responsibility is to help writers produce high-quality written works, with a focus on flow, readability, good character development, and internal consistency. I have worked in multiple genres of fiction and non-fiction, including romance, science-fiction, and memoir. I can edit and proofreading to the standard established by style guides including the APA, Chicago, or New Hart's Rules (Oxford University). I am experienced with multiple digital text suites, such as Word, OpenOffice, GoogleDocs, and Adobe, as well as the ISO 5776 standard marks for proofreading on paper. I can enhance the readability of English-language copy, as well as conduct research, fact-check and rectify both internal and external factual inaccuracies. Many of my clients are English-language learners, so I am familiar with the needs of ESL writers. I am certified by the College of Media and Publishing, and a postgraduate of Aberystwyth University with an MA in Medieval Welsh Literature.
