As a first-generation Peruvian American artist, their work explores the intersections of culture, identity, sexuality, and gender expression through emotionally rich portraits and layered visual narratives. Whether working in delicate watercolor washes or textured mixed media pieces, Andrea creates art that feels both intimate and expansive; playful while carrying truth, gentle while still taking up space. Andrea’s practice spans original works, fine art prints, and an evolving exploration of larger-scale mural work. While still early in their mural journey, they approach it with the same curiosity and intentionality that guides the rest of their artistic practice: a desire to keep learning, expanding, and finding new ways for art to exist within community spaces. At the heart of their work is a belief that art can hold complexity with softness, and that creativity is most meaningful when it leaves room for connection, reflection, and a little bit of wonder. In addition to their studio practice, Andrea offers in-person mentorship for artists seeking to strengthen their technical skills, deepen their creative voice, and grow more confidently within their own artistic journey.
