Human Connection Lab is a San Diego-based holistic intimacy coaching practice offering gentle, consent-led support for people navigating the deeply personal intersections of body, identity, and relationship. Founded and led by Michelle Renee, a Holistic Intimacy Coach and certified therapeutic touch practitioner, HCL is a safe harbor for those who feel unseen, disconnected, or unsure how to ask for what they need. At Human Connection Lab, intimacy is understood as far more than the sexual. It is the felt sense of being truly known: in your body, your desires, your boundaries, and your becoming. Michelle works with clients who are exploring identity, healing relational wounds, rebuilding trust with their own nervous system, or simply longing for a kind of closeness that feels safe and real. Sessions are somatic, trauma-informed, and grounded in the Wheel of Consent. Virtual sessions are available to clients anywhere, and many find that starting online is a natural way to build rapport before meeting Michelle in person. In-person intensives are available in San Diego, the Baltimore/DC area, and Pittsburgh, making HCL accessible across the country for those ready to go deeper. Whether you are working through touch aversion, navigating non-monogamy, reconnecting with a body that has felt foreign, or sitting with questions about desire and identity, you will be met with warmth, curiosity, and zero judgment. HCL proudly serves the LGBTQIA+ community and centers queer, neurodivergent, and marginalized clients. Michelle identifies as queer and brings a deep understanding of what it means to live outside dominant narratives around sex, gender, and relationships. Human Connection Lab also collaborates with therapists as part of a triadic care model, supporting clients through body-based work that goes where talk therapy alone cannot.
