Sweet Oak Therapy is a private practice based in Oakland, CA. We work with people navigating perinatal mental health, fertility challenges, pregnancy, postpartum, pregnancy loss, as well as LGBTQ+ family building, parenting, life transitions, anxiety, depression, and the general weight of being a person living in the world! Our work is trauma-informed, equity-centered, and relational. We take seriously that the people who come to us are already doing hard things. Our approach is attachment-based, warm, and direct. We don't believe you have to be in crisis to deserve good support. We also don't believe good therapy has to feel stiff or clinical. We specialize in the perinatal years and LGBTQ+ families, and we also work with folks who just need a therapist who gets it. Whatever "it" happens to be for them. If you've ever felt like you were too much, not enough, or just really hard to place, you're probably exactly who we're talking to. Beyond direct clinical care, we consult with organizations on mental health program strategy, trauma-informed care, and crisis response. We offer speaking and workshops on perinatal mental health and workplace wellness, with a particular focus on return-to-work transitions and supporting employees through the parenting years. We see clients in person in the East Bay and via telehealth throughout California. People thrive when they feel safe, connected, and seen. That's what we're here for.
