Soft Queer Wealth was created to help Black queer, sapphic, and polyamorous people find their people and build fuller lives rooted in agency, community, and joy. What began as a conversation among friends quickly revealed a larger problem: many Black queer people struggle to find spaces, events, businesses, and resources designed with them in mind. Information is fragmented across social media, group chats, and word of mouth, making it difficult to discover community, especially for those who are new to a city, newly out, exploring non-monogamy, or simply looking for deeper connection. In response, Soft Queer Wealth has grown into a media and community platform that combines storytelling, research, technology, and community-building. Through educational content, event discovery, creator and business spotlights, and community resources, we help people navigate queer life with more confidence and connection. Our work has reached millions of views across social media and has helped thousands of people discover Black queer events, organizers, businesses, and creators. Most recently, we launched city-based Pride discovery guides that curate events, community perks, accessibility information, and organizer insights to make it easier for people to participate in and support local queer communities. Beyond visibility, we believe community infrastructure matters. We are particularly interested in supporting Black queer women, femmes, gender-expansive people, and polyamorous communities who are often underserved by traditional LGBTQ+ media and event ecosystems. Today, Soft Queer Wealth partners with organizers, businesses, and community leaders to increase visibility, share community insights, create meaningful content, and build products that better serve Black queer audiences. Our mission is simple: make it easier for Black queer people to find community, access resources, and build lives that feel expansive, connected, and authentically their own.
