folkfox is a trans-led branding and paid social business, founded by Katie Delaney in Msida, Malta, in September 2025. It is small by design: a boutique consultancy rather than a full-service agency, built around close, hands-on work with a small number of clients, not a large roster handled at arm's length. Malta is a small, English-speaking market with an outsized iGaming industry for its size, which is part of why Katie's career and folkfox both ended up based there, not somewhere larger; it means folkfox already understands, from the inside, at least one of the industries it serves. Staying small is a choice, not a stage folkfox is passing through on the way to something bigger. A boutique consultancy means clients deal with the person actually doing the work, not an account manager relaying briefs to someone else, and it means folkfox can turn down a client or an industry that is not the right fit, instead of taking it on to hit a growth number. Katie founded folkfox after eight years in senior digital marketing roles across Ireland, the UK, and Malta. She started at Google, via Accenture, in Dublin, supporting agency and SMB clients on Google Ads and Merchant Center, and finished her time there as Performer of the Year for the Nordics team, having hit 110 percent of her sales target in her final quarter and held a 100 percent customer satisfaction score for ten consecutive weeks. From there she moved into agency work at Affirma Consulting in Dublin, running PPC and programmatic campaigns across Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Google Ads on monthly budgets of around $30,000 for clients across several industries. She then spent close to a year in marketing at an LGBTQ+ healthcare provider in London, working directly with patients, doctors, and trans allies to help shape how the organisation communicated with the people it served.
