Phoenix Rising Centers is an online trauma therapy practice providing relational, systems-aware mental health care across Virginia, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Colorado, and Georgia. We center Black and Brown people, queer and trans communities, neurodivergent and disabled people, immigrants, working-class communities, and people across the Global Majority. Our therapists understand that distress develops within relationships, families, workplaces, healthcare systems, economic conditions, and experiences of racism, transphobia, ableism, displacement, and exclusion. Our team supports people navigating trauma and PTSD, anxiety, grief, identity, relationships, life transitions, ADHD, autism, masking, burnout, disability, chronic illness, medical trauma, gender dysphoria, embodiment, and transition. We also provide gender-affirming surgery letters and transition support without unnecessary gatekeeping. Therapy at Phoenix Rising Centers makes room for survival responses such as hypervigilance, shutdown, dissociation, people-pleasing, and exhaustion without reducing them to personal failure. Clients are encouraged to ask questions, request adaptations, move at their own pace, and remain the authority on their own lives. Insurance is accepted, although participation and availability vary by therapist and state. Our matching process helps prospective clients find a therapist whose location, specialties, identity, approach, availability, and insurance participation fit their needs.

Online relationship therapy for partners navigating recurring conflict, emotional distance, trust, intimacy, changing needs, and major life transitions. We welcome queer and trans relationships and consider how identity, culture, disability, money, care responsibilities, and unequal power shape life together. Therapy offers space to understand patterns, communicate needs, and explore what each person wants from the relationship without imposing a single model of how relationships should work. Therapist availability, fees, and service areas vary. Please ask about payment options and whether insurance can apply to your particular sessions.

Online therapy for people navigating ADHD, autism, AuDHD, masking, burnout, sensory overwhelm, shutdown, and the exhaustion of being misunderstood. We explore how your needs interact with relationships, workplaces, family expectations, and environments that may demand more than you can sustainably give. Therapy can support self-understanding, communication, boundaries, and identifying accommodations without treating conformity or constant productivity as the goal. Sessions can make room for different communication styles and access needs. This is a therapy service, not a diagnostic assessment listing. Availability, insurance participation, and private-pay fees vary by therapist and state.

Therapy for people navigating polyamory, ethical non-monogamy, kink, and relationships beyond conventional expectations. Explore consent, boundaries, jealousy, changing agreements, intimacy, shame, disclosure, and chosen family without having your relationship structure or consensual interests treated as the problem. We pay attention to power, cultural context, and each person’s capacity to make meaningful choices. Support may involve individual or relationship sessions, depending on your needs and therapist availability. Ask us about the appropriate session format, state eligibility, fees, and payment options.

Online therapy for trauma, PTSD, and complex or relational trauma, including experiences of violence, instability, racial harm, religious control, and healthcare harm. Danger can end while the body continues preparing for it. We make room for hypervigilance, dissociation, shutdown, anger, grief, and exhaustion while exploring what these responses helped you survive. You do not have to recount everything immediately. Therapy proceeds collaboratively, with attention to consent, pacing, relationships, and the conditions affecting your safety today. Availability and insurance participation vary by therapist and state. Contact us to discuss matching and private-pay fees.

Online therapy for trans, nonbinary, and gender-expansive people navigating identity, dysphoria, embodiment, transition, relationships, family expectations, and everyday life. You do not need to prove your gender, pursue a particular transition pathway, or make gender the focus of every session. We make room for joy, uncertainty, grief, and the practical realities of safety, work, healthcare, and belonging. Our care takes transphobia and intersecting experiences of racism, ableism, and exclusion seriously. Availability and insurance participation vary by therapist and state. Contact us for matching and private-pay fees.
