Ascension Institute is a learning space centering the Global Majority—our pleasure, passion, and purpose. Moving away from predatory business models, Ascension Institute believes in collaboration over competition and prioritizing pleasure—in our bodies, our bodies of work, and our communities. Our offerings include educational workshops, coaching, and curated experiences supporting the wellness of the historically oppressed and exploited. Ascension’s creator, cindy lee, also offers a podcast, Sex on Shuffle, where they discuss sexuality and media. Our vision is a world where we are well—liberated and loving one another despite the systems profiting from our harm. cindy lee is a distinguished sexologist, educator, and coach, renowned for their expertise in navigating difficult dialogues and fostering sexual empowerment. With over 15 years of experience, they champion collective liberation, advocating for revolutionary hedonism that celebrates sexual freedom and bodily autonomy as fundamental human rights. cindy lee believes we all can “live our best lives and stay ready” while infusing pleasure and joy into all things. She believes in the importance of unlearning the toxicity of colonization, white supremacy, capitalism, and scarcity while (re)connecting with one’s innate wisdom. Their downtime involves music, yummy food, and shimmying often.
