Ginger Armor is a clean mineral sunscreen brand built for sensitive skin. Founded by Skyler Brady — a redhead who couldn't find a daily face SPF without a long list of concerning ingredients in cheap single-use plastic — every product is formulated to a 10-ingredients-or-less standard, uses non-nano zinc oxide instead of chemical filters, and ships in recyclable aluminum. The line includes Liquid Armor SPF 50 and SPF 30, Tinted Armor SPF 30 in six shades, Moonscreen nighttime squalane, and Eye Armor polarized sunglasses — made for all skin types and tones, with sensitive skin in mind. I'm Skyler — a gay, pale, sensitive-skinned redhead who's been a California landscape contractor for 15+ years, which means I've spent more time in the sun than is medically advisable. I love being outside, care deeply about the planet, and somehow ended up running two businesses at once: SkyLandscape, my landscape contracting company across California, and Ginger Armor, the clean mineral sunscreen brand I built when I couldn't find one that worked on my skin. I test every ingredient on myself before hiring professionals to formulate. Building Ginger Armor has been the most personal thing I've ever made.
