About this role

In this role, you'll partner with Foundation teams, affiliates, researchers, subject matter experts, and volunteers to understand learner needs, identify barriers to participation, and develop learning experiences that support contributors at different stages of their journey. This role goes beyond traditional instructional design. You’ll think like a learning product designer, finding the right approach for each challenge, whether that means creating an online course on Wikimedia’s learning management system (LMS), WikiLearn, producing multimedia content, experimenting with emerging technologies, or embedding learning into existing experiences and workflows. You will do all this while ensuring the experiences you create are culturally responsive, accessible, and relevant to a global audience. The Wikimedia Foundation is the nonprofit that operates Wikipedia and the Wikimedia free knowledge projects, working toward a world in which every human can freely share in the sum of all knowledge.
