About this role
This role leads design direction for Clever's whole authentication space: student, teacher, and staff login (SSO, MFA), plus newer areas like how AI agents authenticate and how schools manage device-level identity. It's a horizontal role, so you'd set one coherent design point of view across several product and engineering teams without directly owning each one, while also mentoring other designers and defining the next problems to tackle. Clever is looking for someone with security or identity design experience, strong cross-team leadership and communication, and comfort prototyping with AI tools, with K-12 EdTech, OAuth/OIDC familiarity, and shipped AI features as nice-to-haves.
