OnlineThe AuDHD Boss helps workplaces support neurodivergent employees well, and helps late-diagnosed ADHD, Autistic, and AuDHD adults navigate their careers with the language and tools they didn't have earlier in life. I'm Brett Whitmarsh (he/they), founder. I spent twelve years in corporate leadership, most recently as VP of Professional Books and Media at a national education publishing company, before I found out, in adulthood, that I'm Autistic and ADHD. I'm also openly queer and neuroqueer, and those two parts of my identity are deeply intertwined for me. Coming out was the beginning of unmasking everything else. I work in three ways: Corporate training and consulting: I advise leadership and HR teams on building neuro-inclusive workplaces, including companies running neurodivergent hiring programs and companies working to create cultures where people feel safe to disclose what they need. Coaching: One-on-one coaching for late-diagnosed adults figuring out what they need at work and how to actually ask for it, without waiting for a crisis to force the conversation. Speaking: I speak at corporate events and conferences on neurodiversity at work, drawing on both my corporate leadership background and my own lived experience. Everything I do starts from the same belief: no policy or checklist can meet every neurodivergent person's needs, because every neurodivergent person's needs are different. The work is individual, one person and one workplace at a time.
